Guodian Daduhe Power Development Corporation, founded in November 2000, is a large scale hydropower development entity integrating hydropower development and construction as well as operation and management. Its shareholders are China Guodian Corporation, GD Power Development Co., Ltd., and Chuantou Energy that take 21 percent, 69 percent and 10 percent of the total shares respectively.

As a major part in Guodian Corporation’s hydropower development strategy, the company is mainly responsible of developing the water resources in Daduhe River and Parlung Zangbo River in Tibet. The company owns 30 million kW of hydropower resources from the main stream, tributary of Daduhe River and the Parlung Zangbo River. It engages in development of 17 step hydropower stations, covering three prefectures and two cities in Sichuan (Ganzi Prefecture, Aba Prefecture, Liangshan Prefecture, Ya’an City, and Leshan City, altogether 14 counties), with the total installed capacity reached 17.75 million kW. It also engages a total of 11.9 million kW of hydropower resources in Parlung Zangbo River of Tibet.

Currently, the installed capacity of 9.6624 million kW that was put into service (including 9.36 million kW in Sichuan province and 295,000 kW in Hubei province).
